Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation-True Ivory Review

"Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Anti-Fatigue effect + Radiant Glow SPF 15 " - Rimmel London

The Wake Me Up Foundation is my everyday go to foundation, I wouldn't go a day without it (Unless I'm not going out the house) I love this foundation I've found myself repurchasing this item over and over; Summer and Winter! I've tried many other foundations but I've always found myself going ba
ck to the Wake Me Up foundation, if you've seen my tutorials you will know it's one of the only foundations I use in my tutorials; I very rarely use anything else.

Let's start off with the packaging, as always. I love the curved edges of the product, it makes it look a lot more sleek and almost more "lady-like" as ladies have curves. the bottle itself is made of clear glass so it nice and heavy and you can see how much product you have left. The lid is bright orange which helps it stand out, which I love since I always have trouble finding stuff when it's shoved in my travel makeup bag! The signature Rimmel London crown is embossed onto the top of the lid and down the side of the glass bottle also embossed it says Rimmel London! The pump lets out the perfect amount of product, I use one pump just on a day and 1 1/2 - 2 pumps for a night out or for a costume makeup tutorial.

Worn here with Porefesional primer and one heck of a blot powder
The formula it's self is quite thick but in a good way, it blends out super easy, I tend to use my Real techniques Buffing brush but I have also used my hands and a beauty blender and I've never had any trouble blending it in. I would say this has medium coverage but it is buildable! I tend to use this with my Benefit Porefessional Primer and by the end of the day it does come off around my nose area, but so have many other foundations I've used (I have oily skin).

As for colour I usually use True Ivory over the summer and ivory towards winter, I'm still currently using true ivory even though it's a tad to dark for my skin colour but the powder I use is really pale so it balances out. It doesn't leave the skin looking orange or feeling cakey but it does have a slight shimmer to it which I don't like, after applying my powder it doesn't show but I think it's odd for a foundation to have shimmer in it. It does have SPF in it which is great not just for summer but all year round because even though it's colder the sun is still out.

Soap & Glory's Soaper Heroes Review

"At Soap & Glory, we believe you shouldn't have to spend an arm and a leg to moisturize one." -Soap & Glory

So this gift set was bought for me by my friend Emily as a birthday gift. As she knows I'm a huge Soap & Glory fan!
The set includes five travel-friendly sized Soap & Glory products; 1 x 50ml Hand Food, 1x 75ml Clean On Me, 1x 100ml  Girligo, 1x 50ml The Righteous Butter and 1 x 50ml Flake away. To say they're classed as travel friendly they are a pretty decent size and I can tell they're going to last me quite a while. If you've never purchased anything Soap & Glory then I have to tell you the smell of every single product is amazing!

The gift set packaging is super cute, The box is Soap & Glory's signature pink with a gorgeous pale yellow around the edges of the box. The front of the packaging is partially clear so you can see the products inside,  Packaging gets a 5/5 as it's super cute.

So the first product I'm going to start with is the Girligo spray-on body moisturizing mist. First of all the bottle is so cute but fairly simple. This product is great for me as I'm extremely lazy most of the time and forget to moisturize; with this it takes a couple of sprays and just rub it in, and it disappears immediately; no horrible sticky feeling so you can't put your clothes on or even put your arms down. It smells absolutely beautiful which is also a plus to a good moisturizer! -5/5

Clean On Me, is just a basic shower gel, it has a strong Pineapple smell, so it's highly fragranced, which I like and dislike. I like it because I love smelling like a fruit bowl but I dislike it because I'm allergic to many fragranced products, I can only use this on certain areas of my body as I don't want to get an allergic reaction but other then that I have no complaints! 3.5/5

The Righteous Butter, I never got why everyone ranted and raved about this product, it's just a body butter right? It may just be a body butter but it smells amazing, it has a lovely creamy texture that is easy to rub in and even though you can still feel it on your skin after applying it's not wet or oily so you can put on your clothes. My skin feels absolutely amazing after applying this as it contains softening shea butter and aloe vera! I like to apply this after a shower, mainly on my shins as they get extremely dry in the Autumn/Fall and Winter! 5/5

Flake away has the most amazing peach smell ever! But I'm still unsure on this product. I love the fact it's excellent for exfoliating but it says to apply after a shower on damp skin and then you have to rinse it off; As I've said I'm extremely lazy so I don't want to have to apply it then rinse it off. It also contains shea butter so it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, especially since it gets off any dead skin with it being a exfoliater. 3/5

So I've purchased hand food before and if I didn't get this set I would of repurchased it myself. I love Hand Food not only does it smell like marshmallows but it's non-greasy! I hate it when you apply a hand cream and you have to wait for it to dry before you can touch anything (Mainly my phone). This has to be one of my favourite skin care products by Soap & Glory. It contains shea butter and macadamia oil, so not only does it soften your hands they're also protected. Since I have the travel sized version, it's so easy just to pop it in your bag and apply when needed. I will deffiently be repurchasing this once I've run out of the two bottles I have! Mend A Hand? 5/5

Overall this set is amazing, it has a a good variety of products, that all smell gorgeous. It's the perfect gift set for a girl who loves to pamper herself. Or you could even treat yourself!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine-Prune in Fire Review

"Luscious texture aqua shine effect" -YSL

So this is my first ever Yves Saint Laurent lipstick, well actually it's my first ever YSL product ever! SO this little bad boy is pretty pricey at £24.50 from Debenhams but is it really worth it? That's why I'm here!

Let me just start off by saying "OH MY GOD!" The packaging is to die for, it's the prettiest packaging I've ever seen. It comes in a shiny gold box which just shouts 'high end!'. Inside is the matching gold product packaging, with the colour of the product wrapped around the middle with the YSL logo deeply engraved all the way around it in gold. The product is fairy heavy, so you can tell it's high quality.

The product itself is smooth and creamy, maybe a bit to creamy to wear over the summer, but I wouldn't wear this exact shade in the summer months anyway. It glides on like butter and make my lips feel so soft and moisturized. The colour is very opaque so only one coat is needed and you don't have to pair it with a lip liner to make the colour more bold. It has an intense shine which I love in a lipstick, it also last hours without having to reapply.

Often the smell of a product would put me off but it only has a subtle hint of mango which smells yummy. It contains Candelilla wax combined with silicon oils which sheathes the lips in a shiny film coating that enhances the colour. It also has Hyaluronic acid microspheres to help seal in moisture and prevent lips from drying out.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick contains an all-in-one cocktail of lip care, for lips that are increasingly beautiful, comfortable and plump.Overall I would say it's worth the money, I wouldn't suggest going tout and buying every colour at once it's definitely a splurge item!

No7 Precision Lip Pencil-Plum Review

"Soft and smooth moisturizing pencil for ultimate lip definition. Sharpener included to help maintain a perfect point. Hypo-allergenic" - No7

As you would expect from No7 their design is intrinsically similar to their other products. As most of their products have a very similar packaging style from colour to shape. The lid of the pencil matches the colour of the product itself which I really like as the counter I bought it from didn't have any testers of that colour. I tested a different colour so I could tell if I liked the texture; which I did and it's was super creamy.

I really like the fact that there's a built in sharper so no need for all that mess when sharpening pencils! I love the colour, it's obviously a plum colour as it says on the pencil itself, it has purple and red undertones giving it that gorgeous berry like colour. It goes perfectly with Soap & Glory's Super-Colour fabu liptick in Pom Pom! I often place pom pom over the top to help the lipstick last longer but the pencil can also be worn on it's own as it's long lasting and has great colour pay off!

No7 Lip Pencil-Plum on it's own
I have to agree that this pencil is soft and smooth but I would have to say it's not very moisturizing on my lips, it might be because I have incredibly dry lips but it still shouldn't claim it's moisturizing when it might not be for some people. The pencil is lovely and creamy and not harsh on the lips at all; it doesn't cling to any dry skin that maybe on the lip which I love since I have dry lips almost all the time during Fall/Autumn and Winter.

The entire line of precision lip pencils by No7 are smudge proof and also come in a wide varieties of colour, so it's easy to find a colour that suits you. Plus it creates beautiful definition!

Soap & Glory Powdercoat Matte Lipstick-Pom Pom Review

I've always loved Soap & Glory skin care and bath products but the only make up I have tried by them is their One Heck Of A Blot pressed powder (which I have to say is amazing), until I bought this little beauty...Soap 7 Glory's Super-Colour Fabu Lipstick-Powder Coat Matte in the colour Pom Pom. It has to be one of the most gorgeous shades of red and pink (Deep berry shade) I've ever seen; it's perfect for Fall/Autumn and Winter.

The packaging is simple but looks really sleek; the case is plain black with Soap & Glory's signature pale pink colour with the words Super-Colour Fabu Lipstick wrote across the front. On the base of the lipstick packaging  they have also placed the Soap & Glory logo in a shiny black, which stands out from the matte black base colour. The product is fairly heavy making it feel more high end then drug store. The Soap & Glory logo can also be found embossed on the lipstick bullet itself which I also associate with higher end products!

Paired with No7 Precision Lip Pencil in Plum
I have no complaints about the formula, it's super creamy and also long lasting. It glides on super easy and it's not heavy at all on the lips. I thought it would be super drying with it being a matte lipstick but it's the total opposite. It's opaque coverage and I can easily wear it 3-4 hours without reapplying. You can also wear it without a lip liner underneath and it still lasts 3 hours.

It's formulated with Orchid extract which gives it a super soft creamy texture that easily glides on with amazing colour pay off. It contains Vitamin E which helps protect the lips from UVA rays. It's dermatologically tested for those with sensitive skin. Overall I love the lipstick, I can't find a single fault and I will be purchasing more Soap & Glory lipsticks in the future.
